It’s summer! It’s the holiday season, and the nationwide lockdown is beginning to ease off. Soon, thousands of caravans will be covering the British countryside and taking over the motorways!
Most people will have seen fields of static caravans whilst driving through our picturesque countryside and seaside towns – maybe you have even stayed in one or two? Some couples even go as far as owning one and being rewarded with that affordable family UK getaway break all year round. You might be surprised to hear just how lucrative the industry is, though.
Did you know that in the UK, a staggering £2.4bn was spent on caravan or camping trips last year?!
That accounts for around 60.5 million so called ‘staycations’ in the UK, which is a huge figure and shows a very healthy industry. From that figure, it was estimated that roughly 13 million was from caravan or camping strips. This really shows the importance in investing in static caravans, especially when it comes to the construction and treatment of the chassis or main frame.
