At Corbetts, we provide a hot dip galvanizing service: the most effective and environmentally friendly way to protect steel from the elements.
This is a method that has been used around the world for over a century, simply because of how successful it is. Let’s run through how Corbetts can help you ensure that your steel is protected for as long as possible.
Hot dip galvanizing provides a long-term solution to corrosion (rust) and can deliver maintenance free protection in excess of 100 years, safeguarding steel from hazards such as rain and snow. This is achieved through applying a coat of zinc to the steel base, which forms a bond and provides added protection to the steel, ensuring it operates for much longer.

It is an environmentally friendly process and highly cost effective compared to other applications on the market such as paint and electroplating. With regards to how much energy is used, the durability provided by hot dip galvanizing does very little harm to the environment.
Due to there being less maintenance involved over the years because of the extended life that hot dip galvanizing provides, there are less costs incurred as a result, which would usually be spent on continuously protecting the steel.
We operate out of our bespoke, purpose-built facility in Telford, with each galvanizing bath measuring 5.5m x 1.4m x 3.2m and 7.6m x 1.4m x 3.2m respectively. We also have the ability to double dip material up to a length of 8 metres.
In order for us to meet the highest standards, we operate a rigid quality assurance system at each stage of the galvanizing process. Further testing is carried out to ensure your required thickness coating and conformity to the British Standard; BS EN ISO 1461:2022.
Working to high specifications is reflected in the fact Corbetts have ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation, joining many organisations globally who have improved their business practices with the management system standard.
With our extensive fleet of in-house vehicles, we can offer swift turnaround times and provide a bespoke transportation service tailored to meet all of your business requirements.
Our highly experienced and dedicated team show their knowledge and quality across all areas, and will ensure the excellence and integrity of your product throughout.
