Corbetts has recently been awarded ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation, joining many organisations globally who have improved their businesses with the management system standard.
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised Quality Management System (QMS) standard that helps companies continuously improve, streamline operations and reduce costs, therefore satisfying more customers and building a stronger brand.
The process began with internal processes and checks to ensure the company was adhering to its expectations of high quality.
It wasn’t before long that Corbetts sourced external consultant Peter Thornton-Smith of ISO Support Centre to undertake gap analysis and project manage the implementation of the certification, with Corbetts training manager Mick Probert managing the process from the company’s side. Mick was an integral cog in the process being completed, and he will be responsible for keeping Corbetts’ to the ISO 9001 standard post phase 2 of the audit.

Following nine months of implementing the necessary changes, Corbetts was ready to enter phase 2. Corbetts’ HR manager Natalie Hughes was then put through an internal auditors course in order for the company to be self-sufficient when coming to audits.
Corbetts is very proud that within a short space of time the company has implemented a quality management system by passing its audits with flying colours, with no corrective actions noted by the external auditor throughout the process.
All of our employees have now been introduced to the ISO 9001 standard and are now aware of how they can contribute to its success going forward.
Trust in Corbetts’ investment in its quality control with collection and delivery available on every order and a 24 hour service.
