At Corbetts the Galvanizers, the last few months have been packed with exciting developments across the business from major equipment upgrades and industry events to recognising loyal team members and raising money for charity.
As a company built on longevity, reliability, and continuous improvement, this quarter has reflected exactly what Corbetts is about, investing in the future whilst recognising the dedication and commitment of our team.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights from across the business this quarter.

We’re continuing to invest in improving efficiency, reliability, and safety across site with the installation of our new cranes and upgraded Igus electrics systems.
These upgrades are designed to enhance operational performance while supporting smoother day to day processes throughout the plant. Alongside this, the upgraded Igus electrical systems will help improve reliability, reduce downtime, and support safer and more efficient day to day operations throughout production.
Continuous investment in our facilities remains a key part of our long term commitment to both our workforce and our customers. These improvements form part of our vision for continued growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the business. You can read more about our new Igus crane system here.

One of the highlights of the quarter was recognising several members of the Corbetts team for their long standing service and dedication to the company.
Long service awards are always an important occasion within the business, providing an opportunity to recognise the loyalty, dedication, and hard work of employees who have contributed years and in many cases, decades of service to Corbetts. We’re incredibly proud to have such committed individuals within the team, and it was fantastic to celebrate their achievements together.
In a truly thoughtful gesture, several employees chose to donate part of their monetary award to local charities, including the Air Ambulance and Alzheimer’s charities. The gesture reflected the strong community spirit shared throughout the business and highlighted the values that remain at the heart of the Corbetts team.
As one employee shared:
“It’s really rewarding to be recognised for the years you’ve dedicated to the company, and it makes it even more meaningful being able to support charities that are close to people’s hearts.”
Our Managing Director commented that, “Reaching 15 and 20 years of service is a fantastic achievement and something that I admire and respect greatly. I am incredibly grateful for the loyalty and professionalism shown from Zenon, Ibrar, Gurinder and Miraslaw.”
Congratulations again to everyone recognised this year and thank you for your continued commitment and contribution to the business.
This August, members of the team will be taking on the challenge of climbing Snowdon to raise money for charity in August.
The team has already begun preparations and fundraising efforts ahead of the climb, which promises to be a fantastic team building event while supporting important causes close to our hearts. Community and teamwork have always been central to the culture at Corbetts, and events like this are a fantastic way of bringing people together, while making a positive impact beyond the business itself.
We’ll be sharing more updates, fundraising progress, and photos as the challenge approaches, and we’re looking forward to seeing the team reach the summit together later this summer.

We’re delighted to welcome our new HR Manager, Tracy, to the Corbetts team.
As the company continues to grow, strengthening our people focused support and development remains incredibly important. The addition of a dedicated HR Manager will help support employee engagement, training and development opportunities, recruitment processes, wellbeing support and ongoing workforce planning.
At Corbetts, we recognise that our employees are at the centre of everything we do, and continuing to invest in the support and development of our workforce is essential to maintaining a positive and successful working environment.
We’re excited to have our new HR Manager, Tracy, on board and look forward to the positive impact she’ll bring to the team moving forward.
With major football tournaments always creating excitement across the country, Corbetts employees have also been getting involved through the launch of a company World Cup sweepstake, bringing a bit of friendly competition across departments.
While there’s naturally some healthy competition involved, initiatives like the sweepstake are also a great way of encouraging team morale and bringing colleagues together outside of daily operations. From strategic picks to completely random luck of the draw selections, there’s already plenty of debate around who’s backing the winning team.

Whether employees picked tournament favourites or complete underdogs, there’s already a lot of anticipation around who will come out on top! Adding to the excitement, our Managing Director is travelling to the USA to support England in person, giving everyone at Corbetts even more reason to follow the tournament closely and cheer the team on from both sides of the Atlantic.

This quarter also saw Corbetts represented at the European General Galvanizers Association (EGGA) Assembly held in Istanbul.
The event brought together galvanizing industry professionals and representatives from across Europe to discuss key topics affecting the industry, including sustainability, innovation, operational developments, and future opportunities within the sector.

Attending international industry events such as the EGGA Assembly is an important part of ensuring Corbetts remains connected with wider industry developments while continuing to share knowledge and best practice with fellow galvanizers across Europe.
The assembly also provided valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships within the industry, exchange ideas, and gain insight into emerging technologies and future trends shaping the galvanizing sector.

Our managing director commented that, “EGGA Istanbul was an excellent event that brought together professionals from across the global industry. It was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from others, and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our sector. The quality of the presentations, exhibitors, and networking opportunities was exceptional, and we returned with valuable insights that will help support our continued growth and commitment to our customers.”
Remaining actively involved within organisations such as EGGA reflects Corbetts’ ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across all areas of the business.

Recognising and celebrating the people behind our success is an important part of life at Corbetts. This quarter, we were delighted to announce our latest Employee of the Quarter, an award voted for by colleagues in recognition of outstanding commitment, teamwork and contribution to the business.
The award highlights those individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their role, support those around them and embody the values that make Corbetts a great place to work.
Congratulations to our winner George Boafo
